The J. Bloomfield Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Los Angeles, CA. Their mission is to assist the recovery community by offering financial assistance with food, rent and clothing. This allows people in recovery to focus on their program, finding employment and overall stability.
The Foundation functions mainly on crowd-funded donations and awarded grants.

Each of these expectations were broken down as separate user tasks and assessed according to a traditional heuristic evaluation. I suggested changes to meet user mental models and visual design principles.
Each of these expectations coincide with the client’s business goals. In order to build reputation, the organization needs a story and a voice. Currently, the website does not offer up any specific information on the services, background or experience, leaving potential donors and clients in the dark.
I categorized issues (and non-issues) by urgency to help the client understand which changes were a priority for their users’ experience. I included the heuristic issue and my evaluation as an explanation for my suggestion.
